Maisaari Island is an old, 190-hectare Rymättylä archipelago estate. Isotalo (the ’big house’) and Antola’s house—the island’s main buildings—have been rehabilitated as accommodation facilities, as well as cottages. On island, there is also meeting- and conference rooms, plenty of room on the piers, covered cooking areas and places for campfires, a seaside sauna and a large smoke sauna. The waters surrounding the isle, abundant with fish, offer excellent opportunities for fishing all year round. The guided Canoeist’s Blue Route proceeds to Maisaari Island and its docking area for canoes and bivouac on the shore, situated on its north side.

Scheduled traffic to Maisaari Island is arranged on Fridays and Sundays June, 11th – August, 8th.

The m/s Lily or a replacement vessel goes to Maisaari Island. The point of departure is the west bank of the Aura River in front of the Vaakahuone Pavilion. Tickets are available from the ship prior to departure. Pre-bookings are unnecessary. The voyage costs 12 euros per adult (one way), 5 euros per child (4-14 years of age, one way). Journey takes two hours and on the way there is a stop at Vepsä.
